Meet Margaret

Woke up very early today and eagerly rushed my way to Hidalgo to fetch my little princess, Margaret. A Nikon D700.
Here’s some first few photos from my new camera. Shooting with a full frame sensor at last! I apparently sold my old Nikon D300s and most of my crop sensor lenses for this and I’m telling you it is really worth it. Never imagined that I’ll be using a full-frame sensor format any sooner. This is also a surprise for me. Thank you sweet Jesus!

China Town Binondo Manila
To be honest, last year’s celebration was more extravagant. Fellow attendees from last year’s Chinese New Year photo-walk will certainly agree. There wasn’t much to take photos of so I spent my time chatting with my good old friends and made new ones as well.

Angelique Nel and I went to McDonald’s Taft to meet Jen, Ina and Cheska. Made some arrangements with Ina about something I must admit I’m really excited for. Yay! See you soon Ina! I really am looking forward to it! I’m also glad to see my best friend again after 4 long months!
Met up with JV at Hidalgo where he bought colored film slides while I wait for my lens to get fixed. I tried fixing the lens myself but it was a disaster that I almost got myself admitted to a mental institute because of depression. So if you got any problems with your gear… Let the pros handle it!
Bought an authentic Kenko UV filter for only 500 pesos. Mounted a Nikkor 180mm f2.8 lens and a Sigma 15mm f2.8 fish-eye lens! Those lens are brilliant that if I had money I probably bought them already.

Finally had the chance to have a photo-walk in a different place with people of the same passion. I love how the clouds cover up the sun giving my photos a gloomy feel. It was drizzling when we got there but it stopped just before we roam around the beautiful city.
