How I spent my Lenten 2013

Alay Lakad. I never, in my life participated this event before. Even though I’m originally from Antipolo City but for the sake of blogging and friendship I tried to walk with a mob of so called believers. It is indeed an oxygen depriving hike and we really had a struggle to walk with a bandwagon of practitioners not to mention that I’m only carrying my camera without any strap.
My original plan was to spend the night at Hiro’s place since he promised that we’ll eat a lot and play X-box but my life is simply grander because of my spontaneous friends. Might be doing it again next year.

To be honest, last year’s celebration was more extravagant. Fellow attendees from last year’s Chinese New Year photo-walk will certainly agree. There wasn’t much to take photos of so I spent my time chatting with my good old friends and made new ones as well.

The Sinulog Festival 2013
Cebu City, Philippines.
Viva Pit Senyor! A loud cheer coming from both locals and tourists. Truly one of the grandest and most colorful festivals celebrated here in our country. The main festival is held each year on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City to honor the Santo Niño, or the child Jesus that marked the start of Christianity in the Philippines. The festival does not only showcase the spread of Christianity but also the different cultures and goodies we can discover in Cebu.

Finally had the chance to have a photo-walk in a different place with people of the same passion. I love how the clouds cover up the sun giving my photos a gloomy feel. It was drizzling when we got there but it stopped just before we roam around the beautiful city.
